From 83 Degrees Media – AFC 2026 Highlights the Power of Fathers
REACHUP was recently featured in an 83 Degrees Media article highlighting the conversations and insights shared at our 2026 Affirming Fatherhood Conference, “Fatherhood: Built to Protect.” The story explores the challenges facing today’s families and the important role fathers and father figures can play in creating stronger, healthier families.
The article features insights from our Male Involvement Network Manager Michael Morgan, who spoke about the importance of engaging fathers and changing the negative narrative often associated with fatherhood. It also highlights perspectives from Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Detective Ryan J. Daniels, True Focus Initiative founder Jeff Mortensen, and Honorable Judge Daryl Manning, who addressed topics ranging from child safety and technology to family relationships and the role of fathers.
The piece also looks at REACHUP’s history and our commitment to including fathers in conversations about maternal and infant health. As founder Lo Berry shares, fathers have long been an important part of REACHUP’s approach to improving outcomes for families.
