From Telemundo 49 – Organización de Hillsborough ofrece apoyo gratuito a embarazadas
Telemundo 49 joined a press conference at Genesis Women’s Center on April 7, 2026, celebrating the passage of the bipartisan Preventing Maternal Deaths Reauthorization Act, as well as local efforts to reduce maternal mortality and address disparities in maternal health outcomes. In this Spanish-language feature, REACHUP is highlighted as a nonprofit making a meaningful difference by offering free, bilingual services to pregnant women in Hillsborough County.
Telemundo also interviewed one of REACHUP’s clients, Miriam Nieves, a first-time mother of twins. After experiencing a loss, she enrolled in our Nurse-Family Partnership program and shared how her nurse’s support was essential throughout her high-risk pregnancy, helping her feel supported and not alone.
The segment also highlights MamaCareRising, one of our newest programs in partnership with USF and Tampa General Hospital.
