REACHUP receives grant support from Foundation of Caring
Tampa, Fla. — REACHUP is honored to receive a $6,000 grant from the Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health Foundation of Caring in support of our mission to improve maternal and infant health outcomes in Hillsborough County.
REACHUP CEO Nicola Bailey and QA/QI Operations Director Hope Tackett attended the Foundation of Caring’s 4th Annual Grant Reception in November, where they officially accepted the grant on behalf of the organization.
The funding will support the expansion of REACHUP’s Pregnancy Medical Home (PMH) program in Hillsborough County. Through the program, Maternal Health Nurse Specialists and Maternal Health Specialists work alongside prenatal care providers in select OB/GYN offices to support pregnant and postpartum women, with care coordination, education, and access to resources.
The grant will help strengthen services by providing transportation assistance, patient education, language access support, and other resources that enable staff to serve more families and address barriers to care.
