Yaritza Hernandez-Lugo, RN, BSN, CVRN-I

Yaritza Hernandez-Lugo serves as the Nurse Manager for the Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) Expansion Team and the Healthy Start Community Health Nurse (CHN) Team in Hillsborough County. She brings extensive experience in Emergency Medical Services (EMS), pediatric nursing, and adult cardiac and medical-surgical care. Prior to her current leadership role, she served as a Nurse Home Visitor with REACHUP Inc.

Yaritza holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Public Health and Nursing from the University of South Florida and maintains BLS, ACLS, and CVRN-I certifications. She is actively involved with the Tampa General Hospital Disaster Response Team, the USF Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN). Her work focuses on program implementation, policy development, data collection, and clinical and budgetary oversight.
