Ms. Cheryl Fitzpatrick is the Public and Community Health Manager. She is responsible for the development of the Interconception Component which includes strategies to engage consumers to stay connected to health-related services. She manages the peer support groups, identifies, and assesses data information on recent infant mortality trends, and coordinates the community consortium meetings. She coordinates & supervises the outreach team and participates in key committees and meetings and assist in planning community health events. She coordinates the Stress Management Program and supervises student interns and volunteers. In addition, she participates in the Affirming Fatherhood Conference Planning Committee and facilitates the Activities, Special Events, and Prizes sub-committee.
Prior to this position, she was the Stronger with Involved Focused Father’s Program Coordinator which included the coordination of relationship education & early childhood development education and services. In addition, she was the Center Manager for the Children’s Board Family Resource Centers in Central Tampa managed by REACHUP, Inc. In her role as Center Manager, she served as a Community Partner on the Hillsborough County Public School Head Start Parent Policy Committee and Co-Facilitator of the Family Community Advisory Council at the CBFRC Central Tampa center.
Cheryl received a Master’s in Community Planning from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Louisville. She is certified in the Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening & Support sponsored by the National Family Support Network and PREP 8.0 and ePREP (Prevention and Relation Education Program) created by PREP, Inc. She recently earned a Certificate of Completion in the Advancing Community Consortia – Community of Practice (CoP) from the Healthy Start T.A Center and NICHQ (National Institute for Children Health Quality).
