Healthy Start is a free home visiting program that offers education and care coordination to pregnant women and families with children under the age of three.
Services are delivered by skillfully trained case management professionals, including Peer Support Outreach Workers/Home Visitors, Community Health Nurses, Fatherhood Coaches, and other qualified staff. Their primary goal is to reduce risk factors associated with preterm birth, low birth weight, infant mortality, and poor developmental outcomes.
The program focuses on multiple approaches, including improving women’s health, strengthening family health, promoting father involvement, and supporting meaningful male inclusion.
